The HUUB’s work to reconnect with our community has been led by the Joe Thomasberger HUUB Community Fellows, local young people committed to the vitality of the place they are from. Begun in September 2016, this program has been so successful that in Fall 2018 we renamed the fellows in honor of First UU’s longtime ally Reverend Joe Thomasberger, who, among many other things, was a member at UU Congregation at Montclair. Joe’s whole life was committed to asset based youth ministry and his impact in the Oranges was as big and important as Joe was. We’re so proud to honor Joe and the youth Fellows in this way.

You can read more about Rev Joe below. You can learn more about the different Fellows cohorts, their projects, and the work they’ve done in the menu at the left!
