Our emotional response to threat, real or perceived, is fear. Threats can be so great and the fear so paralyzing that we become ineffectual in our work. Yet, transformation, both personal and collective is born out of fear. How do we get from fear to change? Where love exists, fear is absent. Work rooted in love changes the world.
Like a seed planted perhaps by a grandmother’s weathered hands pushed carefully into the soil or maybe by a birds’ droppings, it is unseen in that form again…. Faith is that which is tended with the work of love, and the hope that it brings forth flowers or barley.
